I was on the Today programme discussing today’s GDP figures and the policy implications. We have already seen some fiscal easing and more is needed and is inevitable. Temporary cuts in tax components of fuel and energy are needed soon. A potential income tax in Budget and suspending the corporation tax increase next spring.
