European Risk Council Meeting – my opening remarks

I was invited to deliver the opening speech to the 2021 meeting of the European Risk Council.

The meeting of over forty senior professionals from leading financial firms took place in London. I was unable to attend, due to a prior commitment, so the Council asked if I could speak virtually to them. So here is a slightly edited version of my speech – it lasts just over seven minutes and covers three areas: (1) where we are in the economic cycle (2) exit strategies for central banks and (3) an update on what is happening in China.
